About this position
Phoenix Wittaya School is currently looking for a Lower Secondary English teacher. We are expanding our school and need teachers for the secondary level; other positions may also be available. Phoenix Wittaya School is a well-established bilingual school with Thai and English programmes located in Pattaya, a great location for city life or peaceful beach living. Bangkok is only a couple of hours' drive away.
Responsibilities- Facilitate teaching and learning
- Teach English (listening, speaking, reading, and writing), grammar, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 07:40 - 16:00
- Native English speaker (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand)
- University degree
- At least 2+ years teaching experience in Thailand
- Strong preference for candidates properly qualified with a degree in education, PGCE, or a postgraduate diploma in education
- Passionate, energetic, creative, responsible, and caring attitude towards children
- Up to 60,000 THB for qualified teachers (degree in education or degree plus a postgraduate certificate in education); less if unqualified, but not less than 50,000 THB
- The school provides accident insurance free of charge, covering up to 10,000 THB
- Approximately 7 weeks paid vacation allocated at various times of the year upon passing probation
- Free lunch at the school (Thai food)
- Education for the teacher's children (up to 2 children) free of charge for admission and tuition fees
- Visa and work permit fees reimbursed on completion of the contract, with assistance on the visa paperwork
