About this position
Satit Bilingual School of Rangsit University (SBS), Bangkok, is seeking a native English-speaking, dynamic, and committed Lower Secondary English and Drama Teacher to join its international teaching team. Start date: 5th May 2026.
This role focuses on teaching English and Drama to Lower Secondary students (approximately Year 7–10). The successful candidate does not need to be an exam-level English specialist, but should have a strong enough background to confidently support students' English language development and deliver engaging, well-structured Drama lessons.
The position is ideal for a flexible, creative educator who enjoys working with younger secondary students and contributing to a vibrant school culture through both academic and co-curricular programmes.
Responsibilities
- Teaching English, focusing on language development, reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
- Teaching Drama, including performance skills, improvisation, character development, script analysis, creativity, and ensemble collaboration.
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the Cambridge International Curriculum framework and school schemes of work.
- Preparing lesson plans, teaching resources, and assessments, and maintaining accurate records on the school’s administrative systems.
- Adapting teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of learners, including EAL students.
- Assessing student progress and providing constructive, age-appropriate feedback.
- Establishing clear classroom expectations and supporting students' academic, social, and personal development.
- Communicating effectively with parents/guardians regarding student progress and wellbeing.
- Supporting or leading drama-related extracurricular activities.
- Attending faculty meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
- Undertaking additional professional responsibilities as assigned by the Principal.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field.
- Recognised professional teaching qualification, licence, or certification.
- A drama-related qualification or strong practical drama background is highly desirable.
- A Master’s degree is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ post-qualification teaching experience in a structured school setting.
- Experience teaching English and/or Drama to Primary or Lower Secondary students.
- Familiarity with Cambridge International Education or other international curricula is an advantage.
- Experience working with EAL learners in an international school environment.
- Confidence in delivering practical and performance-based Drama lessons.
