Advanced Learning Bangkok is seeking a visionary intellectual guide to lead a transformative new seminar program in Central Bangkok, only a few minutes' walk from BTS Ari.

This course immerses students in big ideas through reading and open discussion. We are moving beyond standard curricula to provide an authentic preview of the college learning experience. The students are native English speakers from top international schools and boarding schools. As their mentor, you will help these exceptional young scholars build clarity of thought, confidence in expression, and the curiosity to meet new challenges.

Core Responsibilities

• Facilitate deep, exploratory discussions that examine complex literature, philosophy, and paradigm-shifting global concepts.
• Give direct, real-time feedback on student writing. You will dynamically edit and critique their arguments as they form.
• Mentor students to build clarity of thought, confidence in expression, and the curiosity to meet new challenges.
• Act as an intellectual sounding board to help students conceptualize the seed for their future university essays.

The Ideal Candidate

• Native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.
• Already based full-time in Bangkok, Thailand.
• Has a distinguished background in Literature, Philosophy, Humanities, or a closely aligned Liberal Arts discipline.
• Demonstrates strong editorial ability and can deliver sharp, immediate, and constructive critiques on complex written arguments without hesitation.
• Exhibits a commanding, highly engaging presence that naturally draws intelligent students into debate.
• Understands the level of intellectual maturity expected by the world's most selective universities.
• Has excellent English writing and communication skills.
