About Us
HEI Schools Phuket applies a Finnish approach to Early Childhood Education based on research from the University of Helsinki and delivered through play-based learning. We are opening a Kindergarten for children aged 2 to 7 years old and Primary. We work collaboratively with over 20 Hei Learning centres across the globe to ensure high-quality education for our students, support for teachers, and a nurturing learning environment for all involved.
We are looking for a qualified teacher who has excellent communication skills, works well collaboratively, and has an inquisitive nature to foster curiosity among staff and children alike. We are currently looking for a lead teacher who has:
Qualifications
- Experience working with children aged 1.8-7 years old
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university
- A recognised teaching qualification: BEd., PGCE, iPGCE or equivalent
- Fluent English (native or IELTS Academic score of 7.5 in listening, speaking, reading and writing)
Responsibilities
- Plan, implement and assess activities based on HEI Curriculum Materials (and local curricula)
- Collaboratively design the learning environment with the team
- Guide the educational team and organize daily practices in the group
- Observe children’s growth and learning
- Ensure each child has an Individual Plan and a regularly updated individual portfolio
- Communicate closely with the principal and other teams
- Lead weekly team meetings
- Ensure families receive information about their children
