Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher

International Kindergarten in Chengdu is seeking a Kindergarten Homeroom Teacher.

Teaching & Curriculum Development

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with Cloudlands early childhood frameworks and international standards.
• Observe, document, and assess childrens learning through authentic, formative assessment strategies, including learning stories, portfolios, and anecdotal records.
• Differentiate learning experiences to meet the diverse developmental needs, interests, and cultural backgrounds of children aged 23 or 34.

Class Management & Safety

• Establish predictable routines and age-appropriate expectations to create a nurturing and well-managed classroom environment.
• Implement positive behavior guidance strategies that promote self-regulation, cooperation, and respect.
• Ensure the physical and emotional safety of all children through active supervision, risk assessment, and consistent safety procedures.

Parent Communication & Engagement

• Provide monthly updates to parents via the home-school communication platform, meetings, or one-on-one consultations.
• Foster strong, respectful relationships with families through regular communication, parent-teacher conferences, and shared goal setting.

Team Collaboration & Professional Growth

• Collaborate with Chinese teaching assistants to achieve bilingual education goals.
• Participate in staff training, curriculum planning, and international accreditation processes (e.g., CIS/WASC).
• Collaborate closely with Chinese co-teachers and teaching assistants to deliver high-quality, play-based bilingual learning experiences.
