DONGDAEMUN POLY is seeking ESL teachers for Summer 2026 in the heart of Seoul. Our campus in Dongdaemun offers an inspiring work environment. We currently have a team of 9 foreign teachers from the US, Australia, South Africa, and Canada, creating a supportive and professional atmosphere. POLY, a reputable English academy network, follows a structured curriculum with clear systems and timelines. We provide training resources to help foreign teachers meet daily teaching requirements. Our Korean teachers and academic counselors offer strong support to both students and foreign staff.

Position

Native English Instructor

  • Start Date: Summer 2026
  • Contract: 1 year, full-time
  • Working Hours: MON~THUR 9:30am - 6:50pm / FRI 9:30am - 6:05pm (No weekend classes)
  • 45-minute lunch and 1-hour break included
  • Type: Kindergarten to Elementary School (4-12 years old, international age)
  • Class Size: Maximum 12 students
  • Class Length: 40 minutes
  • Curriculum & Materials: Provided, with only simple preparation required before class

Compensation & Benefits

  • Monthly salary starting at 2.6 million KRW, negotiable based on experience
  • Single furnished housing or housing allowance of 400,000 KRW per month

Qualifications

  • Native English speaker from the US, Canada, UK, New Zealand, Australia, and South Africa
  • Eligible for an E-2 visa or an F-visa holder (F-4, F-5, F-6)
  • Gyopos welcome
  • Valid passport with at least 13 months remaining
  • BA degree from an accredited 4-year university or college
  • Genuine interest in teaching young learners
  • Willingness to learn and work in a multicultural environment

Preferred

  • Individuals currently residing in Korea
  • Experience teaching or working with preschool to elementary-aged students
  • Teaching or education degree/certification and/or TEFL/TESOL certification

  • Federal criminal background check with apostille
