About this position

Prom School is a private kindergarten and primary school located on Latkrabang Road, Bangkok. Founded in 1990, the school provides a fun, friendly, and safe learning environment and currently educates about 380 students. Prom School runs an Intensive English Program (IEP) for K.1 to Grade 6 with foreign teachers teaching Maths, Science, and English.

Prom School is seeking 4 IEP Kindergarten–Primary teachers (K1 to G6) for the academic year 2025–2026 to start immediately or in March 2025. Candidates must currently reside in Thailand.

Teaching environment

  • IEP program in Latkrabang district
  • Class sizes typically range from 24 to 34 students
  • Up to two supportive Thai teachers assist in each classroom
  • Working hours: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
  • Up to 23 classes per week
  • Unit tests and final exams are prepared by the school

Qualifications

For Native English Speaking teachers (minimum base salary 42,000 baht)

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least 1 year teaching experience in Thailand
  • Experience teaching Science and/or Math in English for Primary school (G.1–6)
  • Able to work full-time for at least a one-year contract (renewable)
  • Age 22–50 years old and currently in Thailand
  • Positive attitude and commitment to self-improvement
  • Enjoy singing and creating hands-on classroom materials

For Non-Native English Speaking teachers (minimum base salary 36,000 baht)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with at least 1 year English teaching experience in Thailand
  • Experience teaching Science and/or Math in English for Primary school (G.1–6)
  • Required English test score: TOEIC 850 or TOEFL iBT 79 or IELTS 6.5
  • Must have a TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA certificate
  • Able to work full-time for at least a one-year contract (renewable)
  • Age 22–50 years old and currently in Thailand
  • Positive attitude and commitment to self-improvement
  • Enjoy singing and creating hands-on classroom materials

Salary

  • Original posting lists a minimum base salary of 42,000 baht for native English speaking teachers and 36,000 baht for non-native English speaking teachers.
  • Another line in the posting states: NES teachers starting from 45,000 Baht per month (commensurate with experience); Non-NES teachers start from 38,000 Baht per month (commensurate with experience).
