About this position

St.Joseph Mueang-Ake School (Rangsit Area) is hiring native English-speaking homeroom teachers for Kindergarten 1–3 and Primary 1. Start dates: April 19 and/or May 5. This is a direct-hire position with the school.

Our Native (Kindergarten) and Global (Primary 1) programs focus on providing young learners with daily, meaningful exposure to native English, building pronunciation, listening skills, and confidence through consistent interaction.

Position Details

  • Level: Kindergarten K1–K3 and Grade 1 (Primary)
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 07:15–16:15
  • Teaching load: Normal: 13–18 periods/week; maximum cap: 20 periods/week
  • Homeroom-based: one assigned classroom
  • Co-teaching with a Thai teacher
  • Teaching limited to your assigned class only
  • Opportunities to teach extra classes for additional income
  • 12-month contract (paid for all months)

Eligibility Requirement

  • Native English speakers ONLY (female candidates preferred)
  • Applicants must hold a passport from: USA, UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand

Salary, Bonuses & Financial Benefits

  • Base salary: Kindergarten 46,000 THB / Global Primary 1–6 43,000 THB
  • Employment Continuity Bonus: 1,250 THB/month, accumulated and paid in full at contract completion
  • End-of-Contract Bonus: up to 40,000 THB, based on service and performance
  • A small, refundable security deposit is deducted during the 90-day probation period
  • Annual salary increase: guaranteed 2–3%, performance-based
  • All Thai public holidays paid

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the homeroom teacher
  • Teach core subjects in English
  • Work collaboratively with a Thai co-teacher
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment
  • Support student routines, behavior, and emotional development
  • Participate in meetings, school activities, and assigned duties

Required Qualifications

  • Female native English speaker preferred (eligible passport required)
  • Teaching experience required
  • Experience teaching multiple subjects in English
  • Bachelor’s degree (any field)
  • TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, PGCE, PGCEi, or an equivalent recognized teaching qualification
  • Patient, caring, and professional

Additional Notes

  • Probation period: 60–90 days
  • A small, refundable security deposit is deducted during the 90-day probation period
  • Participation in up to 5 school events per year (may include weekends)
  • Visa & work permit support provided (details explained during hiring)
