K12 Teacher Trainer in China

SparkEdu is a Vancouver-based organization focused on international education exchange, teacher professional development, and cross-cultural learning programs. We connect schools and education partners with experienced North American and global educators to share practical, innovative, and student-centered teaching approaches.

We are seeking experienced educators to join a professional development program in Nanjing, China, focused on inclusive education and special education practices.

Program Details

• Session 1: Oct 2-Nov 6, 2026 (2 weeks)
• Session 2: Late November, 2026 (3 weeks)
• Location: Nanjing, Jiangsu, China
• Commitment: 2 weeks, approximately 30 hours per week, including lesson delivery, discussions, and interactive training sessions

The program has successfully trained and benefited over 3,500 English teachers from elementary, middle, and high schools across various cities in Jiangsu Province.

Responsibilities

• Deliver interactive teacher training workshops on English teaching strategies, curriculum development, and classroom management
• Demonstrate best practices in student-centered learning, inquiry-based instruction, and differentiated teaching
• Mentor local English teachers, providing constructive feedback and hands-on classroom guidance
• Adapt teaching materials to align with local educational needs while introducing innovative teaching approaches
• Engage in discussions on cross-cultural education and facilitate knowledge exchange between Chinese and North American educators
• Support local teachers in improving their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through immersive training sessions
• Collaborate with fellow trainers and local education administrators to ensure a high-quality learning experience

Qualifications

• Native speaker
• At least two years of K-12 classroom teaching experience in Canada, the U.S., the U.K., or another English-speaking country
• A recognized teaching licence and secondary school teaching experience are preferred
• Bachelor's degree in education, literature, or a related field preferred
• ESL certification (TESOL/TEFL) is a plus
• Strong classroom management and lesson planning skills
• Excellent communication and intercultural skills
• Experience in teacher training or mentoring is an advantage
