About this position
Nawaphat Kindy School is excited to launch our first International K1 classroom for the 2026/27 academic year. We are seeking a committed, nurturing, and experienced Early Years professional to join our team as the K1 International Program Homeroom Teacher.
Location: Tha It, Nonthaburi (10 minutes from Bang Rak Noi MRT – Purple Line)
Our Kindergarten programme is play-based and inspired by the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We believe strongly in continuous provision, child-led exploration, and holistic development. English language acquisition is developed naturally through meaningful interaction, purposeful play, and structured routines within a safe and emotionally secure environment. This is a unique opportunity to help establish and shape a new international classroom grounded in strong Early Years pedagogy.
Responsibilities
- Safeguard all children and maintain a secure, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment
- Plan and deliver engaging short-term lessons aligned with our enhanced, play-based curriculum
- Implement and manage high-quality continuous provision, ensuring learning areas are purposeful, well-resourced, and responsive to children’s interests
- Promote early English language development through storytelling, songs, phonics, guided play, and hands-on learning
- Support children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
- Observe, assess, and document children’s progress
- Maintain professional communication with parents
- Participate in weekly duties and school responsibilities
- Contribute to special school events including Open House and parent meetings
- Work collaboratively with Thai co-teachers and school leadership
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience teaching at Kindergarten level in Thailand
- Bachelor’s degree (BA in Education desirable)
- English must be your first language
- Proven experience delivering play-based learning
- Strong belief in and practical experience implementing continuous provision
- Sound understanding of Early Years child development
- Professional, reflective, and culturally respectful approach
- Must provide local police clearance and police clearance from country of origin
Contract Details
- 12-month contract
- Position opens March/April 2026 for induction and preparation
- Academic year begins May 2026
- Salary negotiable, dependent on qualifications and experience
