IGCSE Chemistry Biology Teacher
About this position
Mataneedol International School in Khon Kaen is seeking an enthusiastic native English-speaking teacher for the position of IGCSE Chemistry/Biology Teacher. This full-time role will begin in October 2026. You will be part of a supportive, multicultural team made up of both foreign and Thai educators.
The teaching load is approximately 18 lessons per week, and the curriculum is based on Oxford IGCSE standards.
Biology topics include:
- Cell structure
- Photosynthesis
- Ecology
- Inheritance
- Homeostasis
Chemistry topics cover:
- Atomic structure
- Bonding
- Chemical reactions
- Quantitative analysis
- Organic chemistry
Requirements
- Native English speaker from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
- Minimum 4-year university degree in a relevant subject
- TEFL certificate
- At least one year of teaching experience
- Enthusiastic, patient, professional, and strong in communication and teamwork
- Willingness to grow professionally
Responsibilities
- Attend morning assemblies
- Participate in school events
- Prepare assessments
- Organize an annual science project
- Maintain classroom displays
- Provide class cover when needed
- Prepare weekly lesson plans
Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 07:45 to 16:00.
