American Creativity Academy Bahrain (ACA-BH) is seeking outstanding and passionate IB Physics, Science, and Computer Science Teachers to join our Secondary School for the 2026–2027 academic year.

We are looking for educators who are committed to academic excellence, inquiry-based learning, and preparing students for success in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and beyond. Successful candidates will join a collaborative international faculty dedicated to delivering engaging, student-centred learning experiences.

ACA Bahrain is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and the Middle States Association (MSA) and is an IB World School, delivering an American Core Standards Curriculum alongside the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

Salary and Benefits (Overseas Hire)

• Start Date: August 2026
• Accommodation: Monthly housing allowance of BD 190–310, based on family status
• Airfare: Initial flight to Bahrain (Year 1). Annual return ticket to the home country for the teacher and eligible dependents from Year 2
• International Medical Insurance: Provided for the teacher and up to two dependents
• Visa Reimbursement: BD 125 for completed overseas work visa
• Tuition Discount: 50% tuition discount for up to two dependent children
• Contract Length: Two years (renewable)

Responsibilities

Teachers will:

• Deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in Physics, Chemistry, or Computer Science across Middle and High School.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons aligned with the American curriculum and the IB Diploma Programme, where applicable.
• Develop engaging laboratory investigations (Science teachers) and practical programming or computational learning experiences (Computer Science).
• Prepare students for IB Internal Assessments (IA), coursework, and external examinations where applicable.
• Assess, monitor, and report on student progress using a variety of assessment methods.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs.
• Maintain accurate academic and behavioural records.
• Participate in curriculum development and continuous school improvement initiatives.
• Attend parent conferences, faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
• Sponsor at least one extracurricular activity or club each academic year.
• Supervise students throughout the school day.
• Promote ACA Bahrain's values while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess:

Physics Teachers

• Bachelor's degree in Physics, Physical Sciences, or a closely related field.

Chemistry Teachers

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Sciences, or a closely related field.

Computer Science Teachers

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field.

All Applicants Must Have

• Valid teaching license or certification (US or Canadian qualification preferred).
• IB Diploma Programme teaching experience preferred (particularly for Physics and Chemistry).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Strong subject knowledge.
• Experience teaching secondary school students.
• Native or near-native English proficiency.
• Clear criminal record and ability to obtain a Bahrain work visa.
