Hourly Paid English Teacher Taiwan
About this position
British Council Taiwan 英協文教有限公司 is currently seeking hourly paid teachers to join their team. The role involves planning and delivering high-quality language lessons, monitoring progress, providing feedback, and promoting learner autonomy while maintaining British Council standards. Teachers will also contribute to course improvement, attend meetings, and assist with marketing efforts.
Qualifications and Work Experience
- Essential requirements include Cambridge CELTA/Trinity Certificate TESOL, an undergraduate or university degree, and a high level of English proficiency (CEFR C2).
- Desirable qualifications include Cambridge DELTA/Trinity Diploma, PGCE/B.Ed., and certificates in teaching English to young learners.
- Candidates must have at least 2 years of post-certificate experience teaching various age groups.
Location and Schedule
- The positions are primarily based in the Taipei and Linkou branches.
- Teachers are required on Saturdays and/or Sundays for morning classes.
Performance Development
Teachers will engage in professional development activities aligned with the British Council’s Continuing Professional Development frameworks. These frameworks address the skills and knowledge needed for English language professionals at different career stages.
Passport Requirements
Only passport holders from countries where English is the official language are eligible for an ARC. Hourly paid positions may have the British Council Taiwan as the secondary employer.
