About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated, student-centered educator to join our faculty for the 2026-2027 academic year. In this dual-role position, you will deliver the Alberta Curriculum for Mathematics 10C and facilitate dynamic Career and Technology Studies (CTS) courses designed to equip students with critical thinking, practical skills, and real-world problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Instruction & Assessment: Plan, deliver, and evaluate unit plans and daily lessons adhering strictly to the Alberta Program of Studies for Math 10C (Linear Relations, Measurement, Polynomials, and Trigonometry) and assigned CTS strands.
- Classroom Management: Establish an inclusive, safe, and engaging learning environment that supports diverse learning styles and fosters academic excellence.
- Technology Integration: Integrate modern educational technology and digital tools seamlessly into teaching practice and CTS coursework.
- Student Support: Provide differentiated instruction, constructive feedback, and ongoing assessment to track student growth and success.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate actively with colleagues, attend staff meetings, and maintain regular communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree with a specialization in Mathematics or a related field.
- Certification: Valid Alberta Professional Teaching Certificate (or eligibility for Alberta accreditation).
- Experience: Proven experience teaching High School Mathematics; experience teaching CTS or practical technology courses is a strong asset.
- Competencies: Deep knowledge of the Alberta curriculum, strong classroom management skills, and excellent communication abilities.
