SBS is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and professional Head of PE and Sports Department, Physical Education teacher, and Sports Coach to join our international teaching team. Successful applicants should be suitably qualified and experienced, and fully committed to supporting the development of students through curricular and extracurricular activities. The new HOD PE can start work from May 5, 2026.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct day-to-day supervision and management of the school department operations.
• Assist the School Principal with curriculum management, collaborative planning, academic issues, and the discipline of both staff and students through the IB PYP curriculum and the Cambridge curriculum.
• Ensure all timetables are monitored efficiently and kept on schedule.
• Plan and manage sports teams, competitions, and tournaments outside school hours.
• Be responsible for subject coverage and assignment, grading, examination papers, student records, and report administration.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate staff on lesson planning and management, timetables, classroom management, implementation of the unified curriculum, instruction, and other related activities.
• Ensure full support for school activities is observed and practiced.
• Cooperate with other departments and report to the relevant authorities on all academic functions, responsibilities, assignments, and students' academic and social affairs, as well as basic counseling, as relevant to the department's scope of work.
• Foster the success of all students by facilitating the development, communication, implementation, and evaluation of a shared vision of learning that reflects excellence.
• Develop and enhance the outcomes of the department.
• Model high expectations for students and staff.
• Perform miscellaneous professional duties as assigned by the Principal.
• Teach Physical Education to students according to the requirements of the IB PYP curriculum and Thai MOE, for ages 3 years to 17 years.

Qualifications

• Degree in Sport Science or a relevant field.
• Professional teaching qualification, licence, or certification as applicable.

Experience

• 2 years of professional experience teaching in a structured school setting.
• 2 years of experience teaching or coaching sport and physical education is essential.
• Experience teaching a wide variety of ages and sports is essential.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements

• Fluent English speaker (minimum C1 fluency).
• Good administrative skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire pupils of all abilities and ages.
• Good athletic ability and knowledge of the human body.
• Competency in class management, time management, teamwork, and differentiation.
• A wide range of sport and health knowledge, with the ability to apply these skills to coaching and teaching.
• Desirable skills: Basketball, Volleyball, Swimming, Badminton.
