Head of Kindergarten Department

Anglo Singapore International School is seeking an experienced and committed Head of Kindergarten to lead teaching and learning within the Kindergarten section.

Job Overview

The Head of Kindergarten provides academic and pastoral leadership across the Kindergarten section, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and student well-being during the earliest and most formative years of education. Working closely with the Kindergarten & Primary School Principal and Senior Leadership Team, the role supports curriculum coherence, instructional quality, and consistent professional practice within Kindergarten.

Campus: Bangkok, Thailand

Start Date: End of July / Beginning of August

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership oversight for teaching and learning across Kindergarten
• Ensure curriculum coherence, clear progression, and consistent instructional practices
• Support, mentor, and develop Kindergarten teachers through professional guidance and collaboration
• Oversee assessment practices, reporting, and monitoring of student progress
• Maintain safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environments
• Build positive, trust-based partnerships with parents
• Contribute to whole-school initiatives, policies, and improvement planning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field
• Master’s degree in Education or a related field (preferred)
• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. B.Ed., PGCE, Early Childhood Certification, or equivalent)
• Native-level fluency in English, with strong professional communication skills

Experience

• Minimum of three years’ teaching experience in Early Years / Kindergarten
• Leadership experience within a Kindergarten or Early Years setting
• Strong knowledge of early childhood curriculum frameworks and child development
• Knowledge of Singapore early years curriculum approaches, particularly in Mathematics and/or Science, is an advantage
• Experience working in an international school environment
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
