About Us

Genius English (GES) is a company dedicated to delivering high-quality English education. We view English not only as a subject but as a gateway to the world. Since 1988, we have established 8 branches in Kaohsiung City and plan to open more branches in Taiwan and China. Working here, you will teach English and engage with warm, friendly Taiwanese parents and students.

Working Environment

Each Genius branch has its own teaching staff who work together. New teachers are always welcome; your fellow teachers will help you get accustomed to teaching in our school and to life in a new country. Our large foreign teaching staff will introduce you to the foreign community and help your new residence feel like home.

Training and Academic Assistance

GES has developed its own highly effective curriculum; everything is organized and clearly laid out. New teachers will be introduced to our system through a training program to help you become comfortable in the classroom. Even teachers with little or no experience will feel comfortable working in our program.

Life in Kaohsiung

Taiwanese people are friendly and welcoming. You will find invitations to dinners, trips, and language exchanges. Typical local meals are affordable (about NT$80 for a lunch box). Western chains and convenience stores are readily available throughout Kaohsiung. Once accustomed to Taiwan, you will enjoy street vendors, grocery stores, and local specialties.

Eligibility

• Native English speakers and passport holders of UK, US, AUS, NZ, CA, SA, IRE
• 4-year bachelor degree, or 2-year degree with TESOL/CELTA/TEFL
• Holds a national-level clean police clearance / criminal background check
