ESL and IELTS Teachers in Uzbekistan

To prospective teachers:

At present, our English school is looking for native English teachers for General English and IELTS/TOEFL preparation.

We welcome retirees who have experience teaching in different cultures. We need teachers by the beginning to middle of May 2026.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESL classes at all levels, Conversational English, and IELTS groups.
• Work with students of different ages.
• Teach individually, in groups of 22 to 25 students, and with corporate clients at the customer’s office.
• Teach only; this position does not include administrative responsibilities.

Requirements

• B.A. in English or Education, or at least 5 years of active classroom teaching experience with children and adults.
• One teaching certificate (TESL, TESOL, CELTA, etc.) confirming teaching experience, or equivalent.
• Must be prepared for classes in advance.
• Must grade and return students’ papers on time.
• Must behave professionally and be well organized in the workplace.
• Teachers should have their own laptops.
• Teachers should be team players and help maintain the school’s reputation by providing quality education.

The total number of teaching hours is 30 to 32 per week. The working week is Monday to Friday, five working days.

We offer a 12-month contract with the possibility of prolongation.

• Salary is discussed during the interview. We pay only in the national currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

• Accommodation in the Civic Center: a private one-bedroom apartment, not shared, fully furnished, with all basic utilities.
• All utilities, including electricity, gas, hot and cold water, and taxes, are paid by the employer.
• Internet expenses are covered by the employer.
• A 10-day paid summer vacation, a 5-day paid winter vacation, and 5 paid national holidays. Summer vacation is possible after a full-year successful contract.
• Transportation to and from the airport.
• All visa expenses, including entrance visa and working visa prolongation, are covered.
• Labor certificate is paid for by the school.
• Airfare to Tashkent will be reimbursed only after 10 months of the contract period.

This is not an administrative position. You are only required to teach.
