English Teachers in Taiwan

ESLJOBTAIWAN works with many private language schools and regular schools across Taiwan to recruit teachers. Teachers do not pay for our service and are paid by the schools directly.

We arrange online and face-to-face interviews and can accept CVs and self-introductory videos.

Notes

• Schools provide work permits, curriculum, and training.
• Schools can help you rent a place; you are responsible for paying rent.

Qualifications

• We prefer certified teachers who hold a teacher's license recognized by their government (for example, a USA K–12 teaching license).
• If you have a recognized teacher's license, some schools can pay up to 80000–88000 NTD a month.

Openings (examples)

• Xitun, Taichung — Mostly morning and afternoon hours, Monday to Friday. Teaching children English (or sometimes math/physics). Work permit provided.

• LongJin, Taichung — Teaching ages 7–12. Hours: Monday and Thursday 1:20–3:20pm and 4:30–6:30pm; Wednesday and Friday 1:20–4:30pm. About 15 hours per week. Pay 650–750 NTD per hour. All classes are taught in English only (no Chinese). Work permit and curriculum provided.

• Zhunan, Miaoli County — Teaching ages 7–12. About 20 teaching hours per week. 700 NTD per hour. Monday to Friday, afternoon and evening hours. Work permit and curriculum provided. 1-year contract.

• Taichung or Changhua City — Teaching ages 7–12. 20–25 hours per week, Monday through Friday afternoon and evening hours. 700 NTD per hour. Work permit and curriculum provided.

• Donggang, Pingtung — 18–20 teaching hours per week, Monday through Friday, mostly afternoon–evening hours. 700 NTD per hour. Work permit and curriculum provided.

• Linkou, New Taipei City — 20 teaching hours per week, Monday through Friday afternoon and evening hours. 700 NTD per hour. Work permit and curriculum provided.

• Hualien City — Near the eastern coast of Taiwan. Full-time position, Monday to Friday afternoon and evening hours, teaching ages 7–12. Pay listed as 600000 NTD a month (as posted).

• Jhubei, Hsinchu — 20 teaching hours per week, Monday through Friday afternoon and evening hours. 700 NTD per hour. Work permit and curriculum provided.
