Job Purpose

Enable student success and academic achievement by implementing the SABIS® curriculum and teaching methodology.

Responsibilities

• Teach using provided lesson plans; may be asked to develop plans based on pacing charts as needed and to use the SABIS® point system.
• Mark exams according to the schedule and departmental guidelines.
• Discuss disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and Head of Department (HOD) as needed.
• Implement the SABIS® point system to maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Invigilate exams as needed in an adequate and properly managed exam environment.
• Support academically low-performing students to help them improve and reach their potential.
• Prepare and follow external exam preparation, including past papers, as planned in the structured revision schedule (when applicable to the specific grade).
• Perform duties that may include testing students, substituting for absent teachers, organizing students for lunches and buses, controlling traffic (vehicles and people), and other administrative tasks assigned by SABIS® management.
• Prepare and participate in student life activities (for example: art, open house, and physical education) in coordination with the student life coordinator.
• Attend training sessions as requested by school management to enhance understanding of the SABIS® system and improve performance.
• Perform other related tasks or projects as delegated by SABIS® management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject or equivalent.
• English proficiency / Native English speaker (depending on subject).
• Working knowledge of MS Office components.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
