English Teacher in Astana

KAZAKHSTAN INTERNATIONAL LINGUISTIC COLLEGE (KILC COLLEGE) is looking for English teachers in Astana, Kazakhstan.

This is a unique teaching opportunity and a strong CV booster, especially for those who want to progress in the ESL, English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and linguistics fields. It is also a great opportunity to explore Central Asia.

This is our eighth year at Kazakhstan International Linguistic College (KILC), a college that provides full-time education in English for school children from Year 9 to Year 12. Our college follows the English model, rather than the American one, so the age range more closely mirrors an American high school than an American college. At the time of writing, there are over 1,000 students studying at KILC, and we are working hard to increase this number.

Teaching Environment

• Expected start date: mid-August 2026
• A supportive international team of approximately 25 English teachers
• 5 working days with two consecutive days off
• 28-30 hours of teaching per week

About You

• Female or male native English speaker
• Age range: 23-40
• Bachelor’s degree (apostilled) is required
• TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA is preferred
• Multicultural awareness and sensitivity, tact, poise, and professionalism
• Willingness to learn and develop as an educator
