English Teacher for Children in Taiwan

About Us

Arun Language Training & Recruitment Ltd is recruiting graduates of any discipline to teach English to children at private English language schools across Taiwan. This is an excellent opportunity for first-time teachers and experienced educators alike, with full support provided from arrival through placement.

Locations

Positions are available in Taipei, New Taipei City, Taoyuan, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung, Keelung, PingDong, Changhua, Hsinchu, and many other locations throughout Taiwan.

Eligibility (Visa Restrictions Apply)

Due to visa regulations, we can currently recruit candidates only from:

• Ireland

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or U.S. Associate degree
  • Candidates with a U.S. Associate degree must hold or obtain a TEFL certificate
  • Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree do not require a TEFL certificate
• Hard copy of degree certificate, which must be brought to Taiwan
• National criminal background check less than 6 months old
  • Minor offences permitted
  • Examples:
    • USA: FBI
    • UK: DBS or ACRO
    • Canada: RCMP
    • Ireland: Garda Statement
• Passport valid for at least 2 years
• No online degrees; degrees must be predominantly on campus
• Enthusiastic, dynamic candidates with a genuine love of working with children
• Flexibility to teach students aged pre-school to 16 years

Salary & Benefits

Pay

• NTD $600 to $730 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
• Expected monthly earnings:
  • NTD 56,000 (20 guaranteed hours per week)
  • Up to NTD 75,000 (26 hours per week)
• Earnings are subject to experience, qualifications, and local taxes

Additional Benefits

• Guaranteed minimum of 20 teaching hours per week (up to 26)
• NTD $3,000 per month teaching duties stipend for meetings, prep, and training
• NTD $10,000 contract completion bonus
• No office hours
• 7-day training and induction programme
  • Hotel accommodation and meals provided for some positions
• Assistance finding housing
• Full visa and work permit support
• National Health Insurance: all teachers are eligible for Taiwanese health care
• TEFL certification may be offered by the school
• Mandarin language courses may be available at some campuses
