You are warmly invited to consider joining the esteemed Young Hoon Elementary School in Seoul.

Established in 1965, Young Hoon is one of the premier private Christian elementary schools in Korea, with a student population of around 670 spanning grades 1 to 6. Our school has a diverse team of 24 certified teachers from the USA, Canada, South Africa, New Zealand, Australia, and the United Kingdom.

As an authorized Cambridge International Primary School, we offer an innovative inquiry-based program aligned with the Cambridge PECF and ESOL curriculum. Our educational approach integrates S.T.E.M., G.R.A.S.P.S., as well as one-to-one technology through Chromebooks, tablets, ITSE, and Google Workspace. We also implement the Workshop Model, UFLI, and Learning Center Rotations to enhance instruction. We place a strong emphasis on fostering 21st-century skill sets and learner traits through authentic Western learning experiences.

Many of our teachers have gone on to secure positions at prestigious international schools worldwide after spending time at Young Hoon. These opportunities have included placements at IB schools in countries such as Thailand, Italy, Vietnam, Turkey, Brazil, and more.

Qualifications

• A licensed or certified teacher from the US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, or the United Kingdom
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Candidates in the process of obtaining teaching certification are also welcome
• Candidates with relevant private school experience are also welcome

While church attendance is preferred to align with our values, it is not mandatory.

Additional Information

• For those already residing in Korea, candidates holding E2, F2, F4, F5, or F6 visas are preferred
• The start date for this position is March 1, 2027
• We recommend that your current ARC expires in March 2027 for a smoother visa transfer process
