Elementary English Teacher in Seoul
About this position
Soongeui Elementary School is recruiting a native English teacher for the second semester of 2026. The school is located in Jung-gu, Seoul, near Myeong-dong Station. The ideal candidate should be able to create personalized lessons to improve students' language and literacy skills.
Conditions
- Location: 10, Sopa-ro 2-gil, Jung-gu, Seoul
- Starting Date: September 1, 2026
- Contract Period: September 1, 2026 – February 28, 2027
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- Teaching Hours: 18 classes a week (40-minute classes)
- Salary: KRW 2.2 – 2.6 million per month
- After-school Classes: 5 classes per week (2:20 p.m. – 3:05 p.m.), KRW 75,000 per class
Benefits
- 4 weeks of paid vacation in January and 2 weeks in February
- Housing allowance: KRW 600,000 per month
- National Health Insurance and Pension provided with a 50/50 contribution split
Requirements
- Native English speaker with a Bachelor’s degree (Education, English, or Linguistics preferred)
- Currently residing and working in Korea
- Elementary teaching experience in Korea is preferred
- Eligible nationalities: USA, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Ireland
- Holder of an E-2 or F-series visa
