Role Summary

The Early Years Founding Head Teacher is a foundational role responsible for developing and leading the Early Years programme (N–K2) while also serving as a homeroom teacher. The role includes setting up Early Years academic and classroom systems, translating the school's philosophy into regular practice, and supporting teacher preparation. This position is ideal for an experienced Early Years teacher who is passionate about teaching young children and developing robust educational systems.

Salary

Minimum ฿100,000 per month. Salary is based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement the Early Years academic framework aligned with UK-based Early Years approaches and the school's philosophy.
  • Develop curriculum structures, including unit themes, learning progressions, daily routines, and classroom systems.
  • Create teacher-ready materials such as unit plans, lesson plans, assessment tools, and reporting templates.
  • Ensure alignment between curriculum, assessment, classroom practice, and child development principles.
  • Lead playgroups and summer camp in the academic year 2026–27 and serve as a homeroom teacher during 2027–28.
  • Model best practices in play-based learning, language-rich interactions, and positive behavior guidance.
  • Support and guide Early Years teachers and teaching assistants, fostering a reflective and child-centered professional culture.
  • Implement student wellbeing and safeguarding practices and maintain accurate observation and welfare records.
  • Engage effectively with parents regarding child development, learning approaches, and classroom routines.

Requirements

  • Required:
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Early Years homeroom teacher.
    • Strong understanding of Early Years pedagogy and child development.
    • Experience in designing or adapting curriculum and classroom systems.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with UK-based Early Years frameworks.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in international or bilingual school settings.
    • Experience mentoring or supporting other teachers.
    • Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum.
