Chinese Language Teacher (Primary/Secondary)

Montessori Academy Bangkok International School (MABIS) is seeking a passionate and child-centered Chinese Language Teacher to join our international faculty. This position is open to educators who enjoy working with children and adolescents and who are enthusiastic about delivering engaging, meaningful Chinese language learning through project-based and experiential approaches.

The successful candidate will teach Chinese language at the Elementary and/or Secondary level, working collaboratively with colleagues to create an inspiring, supportive, and culturally rich learning environment.

Start Date: Spring or August 2026

Qualifications & Requirements

• Montessori diploma 3-6 or 6-12 (AMI, AMS, or MACTE)
• Minimum 5 years of teaching experience, including international school experience
• Valid Teaching License from China or Taiwan
• Putonghua Proficiency Test (PSC) Level 2-A or above
• Expertise in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
  • Chinese Language, Education or related field
  • Chinese History
  • Chinese Classics / Philosophy
  • Traditional Chinese Medicine
  • Drama, Dance, Music, Art, or Martial Arts
• Experience teaching Chinese as a foreign or additional language
• Experience in Montessori, IB, or project-oriented programs is strongly preferred
• Comfortable designing and facilitating project-based learning and interdisciplinary units
• Ability to communicate effectively in English
• A genuine love for working with children and young people
• Warm, compassionate, and patient, with strong interpersonal skills
• Creative, energetic, and fun—able to make learning engaging and joyful
• A collaborative team player who thrives in a multicultural school environment
