Cambridge Chemistry Physics Teacher

Windfield International School Koh Samui is seeking a qualified Cambridge Chemistry and Physics Teacher to join our vibrant international community. The position is based in Koh Samui, Thailand, with an immediate start date. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator capable of teaching both Chemistry and Physics at the Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level. The role also includes responsibilities as a Secondary Homeroom Teacher.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons in Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry and Physics, and AS & A Level Chemistry and Physics.
• Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
• Prepare students effectively for Cambridge examinations using past papers, mark schemes, and revision strategies.
• Monitor student progress and implement necessary interventions.
• Differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs.
• Conduct practical science activities safely.
• Maintain accurate records of student assessments and progress.
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Contribute to the wider life of the Secondary School.
• Undertake Secondary Homeroom Teacher duties, including pastoral care and communication with families.
• Adhere to all school safeguarding and professional conduct procedures.

Essential Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science, Education, or a related field.
• A recognized teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, QTS, or equivalent.
• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and Physics.
• Experience teaching secondary students.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• A student-centered, professional, and collaborative approach.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Preferred Experience

• Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE and/or AS & A Level.
• Proven track record of preparing students for Cambridge external examinations.
