Cambridge Chemistry and Physics Teacher

Windfield International School – Koh Samui is seeking a qualified and experienced Cambridge Chemistry & Physics Teacher to join our international school community. We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher who can confidently teach both Chemistry and Physics at Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level and support students in achieving strong examination outcomes.

Cambridge Chemistry & Physics Teacher

Curriculum: Cambridge International
Additional Responsibility: Secondary Homeroom Teacher

Key Responsibilities

• Teach Cambridge IGCSE Chemistry and Physics
• Teach Cambridge AS & A Level Chemistry and Physics
• Plan engaging, well-structured lessons aligned with Cambridge syllabuses
• Prepare students effectively for Cambridge examinations
• Use past papers, mark schemes, examiner reports, and revision strategies to support examination preparation
• Monitor student attainment and progress, and provide appropriate intervention where needed
• Differentiate lessons to meet a range of learning needs
• Conduct practical science activities safely and effectively
• Maintain accurate assessment and progress records
• Communicate professionally with students, parents, and colleagues
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the Secondary School
• Undertake Secondary Homeroom Teacher responsibilities, including pastoral care, attendance, student wellbeing, and communication with families
• Follow all school safeguarding, professional conduct, and child-protection procedures

Essential Requirements

Applicants should have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Physics, Science, Education, or a closely related field
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, PGDE, QTS, or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge in both Chemistry and Physics
• Experience teaching secondary students
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• A professional, collaborative, and student-centred approach
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing

Cambridge IGCSE and/or AS & A Level teaching experience is strongly preferred. Experience preparing students for external Cambridge examinations would be a significant advantage.
