About this position

Short Description

Work with some of Thailand’s most exceptional young students near BTS Ari. We are seeking a highly capable, energetic, and intellectually curious native English-speaking mentor to work closely with ambitious young students from some of Bangkok’s leading international schools.

This is not a traditional tutoring position. Our students are part of a long-term Academic Foundations & Self-Discovery mentorship program designed to help highly capable children grow into future leaders, innovators, and globally competitive students.

Sessions go far beyond grammar exercises or worksheets. The goal is to build strong reading, writing, communication, curiosity, and thinking skills through engaging discussions and carefully designed learning experiences. You will have the opportunity to become an important mentor figure in the lives of students during some of their most formative years.

What Makes This Role Different

  • Work with highly motivated students and sophisticated families
  • Teach students who already attend some of Thailand’s top international schools
  • Help shape intellectual curiosity, confidence, communication, and long-term academic direction
  • Design engaging sessions using topics across science, business, psychology, world affairs, culture, technology, social issues, and more
  • Build real mentor relationships with students rather than simply teaching English

Responsibilities

  • Mentor and teach elementary and early middle school students
  • Teach English reading, writing, vocabulary, and communication skills through intellectually engaging content
  • Create customized lesson plans based on each student’s personality, strengths, and interests
  • Keep sessions positive, dynamic, and engaging for younger children who may become restless
  • Encourage curiosity, discussion, confidence, and critical thinking
  • Provide short progress updates after each session
  • Coordinate with senior mentors regarding student growth and development

Ideal Candidate

  • Native English speaker from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand
  • Already based full-time in Thailand
  • Excellent English writing and communication skills
  • Warm, energetic, and highly engaging personality
  • Comfortable working with younger children and high-expectation families
  • Able to balance structure with creativity and adaptability
  • International school teaching or mentoring experience preferred

Compensation

  • THB 800/hour
  • Minimum 1.5 hours per session
  • Long-term mentorship opportunities available for strong candidates

Location

Conveniently located in central Bangkok, only a few minutes’ walk from BTS Ari.
