A Level Business and Economics Teacher

Position: Business Studies and Economics Teacher (A Level)

Location: Bangkok

Key Responsibilities

• Teach both Business Studies and Economics at A Level.
• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with the relevant Cambridge A Level syllabuses and assessment requirements.
• Develop students’ understanding of business and economic concepts and their application to real-world situations.
• Teach students to interpret evidence, analyse data, and construct well-supported arguments and evaluative judgements.
• Develop students’ essay writing, data-response, and case-study analysis skills appropriate to A Level.
• Use assessment and feedback to address misconceptions, strengthen subject knowledge, and improve written responses.
• Prepare students effectively for internal assessments and Cambridge A Level examinations.
• Contribute to departmental planning, assessment moderation, and resource development.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent.
• At least three years’ experience teaching Secondary Business Studies and/or Economics.
• Experience teaching both Business Studies and Economics at A Level, with a strong understanding of the relevant Cambridge syllabuses and examination requirements.
• Strong knowledge of A Level Business Studies and Economics content, assessment objectives, and examination expectations.
• Ability to teach students to apply knowledge, analyse information, evaluate evidence, and construct extended written responses.
• Effective classroom management, assessment, and organisational skills.
• Strong proficiency in English for teaching and professional communication.
• Applicants should clearly identify their A Level teaching experience, examination boards/syllabuses taught, and the subjects and levels they have previously taught.
