ESL Jobs!

ESL Teacher: NEVER send bank details, credit card info etc. to employers. Watch out for positions that sound "to good to be true". If you see a job that looks like a SCAM or have received emails from potential employers that seem "fishy". Please CONTACT US. We will research it for you and will post the info for all other ESL teachers.

Heart English School - Japan

This is for work in a Japanese Public School as an Assistant Language Teacher. Our usual contracts are one year from April to March and 7 months from September to March. However, we are always interested in hiring quality candidates throughout the year.

We are primarily focused towards Jr. High Schools and Elementary Schools. Our client towns are spread out throughout the Kanto region (Ibaraki, Tochigi, Chiba, Saitama, and Gunma prefectures, and the Tokyo area), Tohoku region (Yamataga and Iwate) and Hokkaido (Sapporo). Positions ARE AVAILABLE to international applicants (overseas), but for positions in Tokyo we do NOT recruit overseas. Our current ALT staff consists of 220 teachers, and our sales staff anticipates more client towns for September and next April.

This employment is semi-full time: (7 months) MON-FRI. Public school classes are usually over by 4:30 PM at the latest, so evenings are usually free for personal pursuits. You should still have some time to explore Japan or to pursue additional income in the evenings and on the weekends (when most private students are looking for classes).

Heart School allows its employees such work as long as it is "honorable" and does not interfere with ALT duties, directly or indirectly. Examples of indirectly include, but are not limited to, being employed part-time by a competing language company with ALTs (non-competing ones are fine; ones without ALTs) or attempting to teach or sell to your public school students for personal profit.

More information can be found on our company's Recruitment and FAQ pages. They can be found at http://www.heart-school.jp/en/index.html.
If you are interested in our ALT positions, please send us your resume and photo by email
