ESL Teacher: NEVER send bank details, credit card info etc. to employers. Watch out for positions that sound "to good to be true". If you see a job that looks like a SCAM or have received emails from potential employers that seem "fishy". Please CONTACT US. We will research it for you and will post the info for all other ESL teachers.
Premiere English - United States
We are looking for a qualified and experienced ESL teacher to provide ESL classes to a couple of housewives in the Harbor Bend area not far from downtown Memphis. This would be for 6-10 hours per week during the day (usually mid-morning to early afternoon) starting next week.
We ask that only teachers with authentic experience teaching ESL (outside of a public school ESL program) apply. ESL certifications through state certification programs for public school teachers are not valid substitutes for actual ESL teaching experience. Such applicants are politely asked to not apply. Additionally, teachers that have had significant overseas teaching/living experience (not referring to vacations) are most valued. Fluency in Spanish is also highly valued but native language MUST be English.
Compensation will be $25/hr.
It should be stressed that this position is ideal for someone looking for part-time work who is not depending on this job to function as a primary source of income. Although students can be expected to have class on a regular basis, they sometimes must cancel due to trips out of the country, etc. However, if there is a cancellation that occurs within 24 hours, the teacher will be compensated for the full amount of class time that was lost.
When you respond to this ad, please send me an email that includes some background about yourself and your ESL experience along with an attached current resume. Cover letters are not necessary.
Candidates considered to be most qualified will be contacted by either email or phone.
