About the Job

Fifth Wings seeks a competent full-time (5 days/week) native English Teacher for a prestigious private junior and senior high school in Sano - Tochigi.

We are seeking a teacher who is not only experienced in their field but can also bridge a cultural experience between themselves and the students. Teacher will pursue to provide a positive and meaningful learning experience to students which will develop their knowledge of English, confidence in speaking a new language and overall communication skills in a variety of settings.

LOCATION:

(SANO - TOCHIGI PREFECTURE) 5 DAYS / WEEK

 

*** APPLICANTS MUST BE A NATIVE OF ONE OF THE FOLLOWING COUNTRIES***   (The USA, Canada)

 

CONTRACT PERIOD: 

1 year contract.

Start date is January 2023 and ends December 2023.

PAYMENT: 

¥250,000 – per month before taxes.

Salary to be paid on the 15th of each month.

 

WORKING HOURS & SCHEDULE: 

Monday - Friday (8AM - 5PM) 5 Day work week.

(1^st, 3^rd and 5^th Saturday of the month are work days from 8:30AM – 1PM)

3 to 5 lessons on average per day would be typical but could change case by case.

• Duties other than teaching,
• Preparing materials/tests.
• Taking care of extra activities.
• Must be able to work with Japanese teachers effectively.
• May need to occasionally work outside of regular hours for school events.

TYPE OF WORK: 

Teach English at a private Junior & Senior High School.

VISA:

Company will provide full sponsorship to applicant.

(**Teachers already in Japan will be given highest priority**)

 HOLIDAYS:

All Japanese Calendar holidays are paid.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Teachers with a BA in an English Major highly preferred. 
2. Excellent knowledge and proficiency of office software. 
3. English Teaching experience to Junior High & Senior High School students is a must. 
4. The applicant needs to have a solid understanding of the English grammar. 
5. TESOL/TEFL/CELTA or any teaching certification preferred.
6. Applicants must be of sound mental and physical health.
7. Applicants must not have a criminal record.
