About the School

Alfa y Omega was founded 36 years ago as a small private school. In 2001, the school decided to expand to include high school. Now the school is offering Bilingual education and this is our fifth year.  At the heart of its conception, Alfa y Omega has directed its efforts to making quality bilingual education accessible to students regardless of the socioeconomic status of their family. The school provides some scholarships.

Bilingual School in Santa Rosa de Copan, Honduras Seeks Full Time Elementary Teacher (1^ST-10^TH GRADES)

Start Date: August 15th 2022

End Date: June 9th, 2023 (with the possibility of a contract extension)

Date to receive resume until June 28^th .

Working conditions: 
• 25 to 30 hours per week teaching time, 10 hours a week for duties, planning and staff meetings
• 6:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  Monday through Friday*
• 2 weeks off December Holidays
• 1 week off Easter Holidays
• Honduran Holidays

ACOMMODATION IN HONDURAS:
• 3,500 Lempiras (approx. 170 USD) rent stipend per month paid by the school to the landlord.
• Refund of the flight from U.S.A. to Honduras- payable upon completion of first half of contract (maximum $600) ( transportation from the airport)
• Refund of flight to home country- payable on completion of contract.
• Medical Insurance offered.

*Teachers will be expected to participate in a few school events during the year outside of the regular school schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Bachelor in education Degree or related
2. Native English speaker 
3. Preferred with experience teaching but new teachers are welcome to apply.
4. At least one year living abroad
5. Preferred teachers with Christian values
6. Committed to stay the full academic year
